Babe Ruth
Xtreme Baseball Program

Connecticut has been the pioneer program for Xtreme Baseball.  Starting with the 2013 season, leagues have been allowed to charter teams as Xtreme Teams.  This allows Connecticut Babe Ruth Baseball Leagues to keep the best ballplayers in their programs and continue to compete at the highest levels of competition.  We will post more information as it becomes available.  Xtreme Baseball is a National Babe Ruth Program since 2014.

CT Babe Ruth Leagues

Waiver Approved 2-8-13

By: State, Regional & National Babe Ruth Officials

Waiver: "XTREME" Baseball Program, CT Babe Ruth Baseball – The 2013 Official Babe Ruth Rule Book – Governing playing time and qualification for the National Babe Ruth Tournament.

CT Babe Ruth has received approval to the following waiver, to the 2013 Babe Ruth Rules Book, for CT players to qualify and participate on a chartered All-star team, which participate in the Babe Ruth National 13 YO, 14U and 15U Tournaments.

Waiver Playing Options:

All Travel: This is where a CT Babe Ruth chartered league chooses to play only a competitive spring travel schedule and not play in their house baseball program, but play against other CT Babe Ruth Teams.  Players who choose this option will play in a CT Babe Ruth league with other Babe Ruth team, games they play count toward qualification rules, which govern player participation in the National Babe Ruth Tournament. These players are allowed selection to their respective league District All-star team.

Combo-Both. These players can play both an in house spring league and competitive spring travel league (option 1) schedules. Games played in both leagues count toward their qualification requirements for the National Babe Ruth Tournament.

CT High School Released Players. Once a player is released from their CT CIAC high school team they have the option to participate in either of the two options above or play in a CT Babe Ruth HS only spring league against other CT Babe Ruth release HS players. These teams can be made up of player ages 13, 14 or 15 year old or mix of ages, and not need to adhere to the age demographic outlined in the 2013 Official Babe Ruth Rule Book.

The above waiver has been approved by CT, Regional & National Babe Ruth League Officials.
